Altair Introduces Its Hyperworks Computer-aided Engineering Suite
I am truly pleased to announce the new release of HyperWorks today. With a focus on industry-specific solutions, an open architecture, and interoperability with 3rd party software through the Altair Partner Alliance, our computer-aided engineering (CAE) suite represents one of the most comprehensive offerings in the marketplace. This particular release will afford engineers an unprecedented opportunity to use simulation to drive design decision making and reduce the number of physical tests, shortening lead time and improving product performance.
Altair partners with Startup India to launch Altair Grand Challenge bringing access to simulation technology and mentorship to Indian startups.
HyperWorks 13.0 increases engineering productivity in four distinct areas:
- Performance optimization
- Lightweight design
- Lead-time reduction
- Access to new technologies
“This release of HyperWorks advances the most current trends in product design,” said James Dagg, Chief Technical Officer at Altair. “With an even sharper focus on tools for the analysis and design composite structures, it facilitates processes for the mass customization of products. HyperWorks continues to offer a broad array of advanced solvers enabling engineers to simulate a wide range of physics, from the analysis of linear and nonlinear phenomena in structures to fluid flow, thermal, and electromagnetic behaviors.”
More information regarding HyperWorks 13.0 may be found in the press release or on the launch website. Several live events are planned:
- HyperWorks 13.0 Rollout Event – Warwickshire, UK – Sept. 23, 2014
- HyperWorks 13.0 Rollout Event – Lyon, France – Sept. 23, 2014
- HyperWorks 13.0 Rollout Event – Troy, MI – Oct. 2, 2014
- HyperWorks 13.0 Rollout Event – Madrid, Spain – Oct. 21, 2014
In addition, a number of specific training sessions are now available online:
Finally, there are a number of webinars planned as part of the launch. For each of the following virtual events there will be two sessions offered, one at 9 a.m. EDT (3 p.m. CET) and one at 2 p.m. EDT (8 p.m. CET):
