Star Jalsha[1] is an Indianpay television channel owned by Star India (Disney India). It broadcasts Bengali-language programming, such as family dramas, comedies, reality shows, crime shows and telefilms. It launched its own HD feed on 14 April 2016.
It is distributed worldwide by Fox Networks Group Asia Pacific, a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company.

Star Jalsha was officially launched on 8 September 2008.[1]
In 2012, it undergone a revamp with a new diamond star identity.[2]
The channel launched its own high-definition feed, along with Jalsha Movies HD, on 29 April 2016. They were the first Bengali-language HD channels in India.[3][4]
On 2018, Sagnik Ghosh became the head of the channel.[5]
In February 2019, the channel undergone a revamp with a fresh identity.[6]
