The PTX file extension is the proprietary file format of RealLegal's E-Transcript Manager program, which is commonly used for court reporting and creating legal transcripts. While mostly used by law offices, you may also use this file format in your business due to features like the hyperlinked word index that can assist with inventory management. To convert a PDF file to the PTX format, first export the PDF as a text file, then import the text into the E-Transcript Manager.
1.Open your desired PDF file in Adobe Acrobat Reader. Click the 'File' menu and choose 'Save As,' then 'Text.' Save the text file to your desktop or another location. Close Adobe Acrobat Reader.

3.Save the imported file in the PTX format by clicking 'File' and selecting the 'Save As' option. Name your file in the file name field, and select the PTX format from the 'Save as Type' menu. Click 'Save' to complete the conversion.
